As you know, what we call the Law of Attraction is often based on a branch of science known as Quantum Physics. Before I say anything else, let me inform you that I know NOTHING about science. It was a real challenge for me in school. But since I’m experiencing amazing results from practicing being positive, changing my thoughts, and creating my own existence, I figured I should know a little bit about what’s going on. So I spent some time “googling” and this is what I came up with. I’m not saying it is all 100% truth, verified information, or generally accepted in the scientific community. It is simply my interpretation of what people are saying about how the LOA works.
During the time of Isaac Newton, the science community believed that the smallest particle was the atom and believed the atom was a solid mass. Newton taught that atoms are drawn together by gravity, therefore forming the object that was being observed. This was known as Newton Physics and is still taught in some schools today. (Perhaps prompting some to call it The Secret?)
In 1925 Albert Einstein came to the conclusion that energy and mass is the same thing. In other words, everything is made up of energy. E=MC2 is a formula that explains how energy is transformed into mass. C2 is the number representing the speed of light squared. Therefore, mass is energy moving at twice the speed of light.
The scientific community was in agreement with Einstein’s findings, however, there was controversy surrounding the characteristic of energy, with some saying it appeared as particles and others claiming it appeared as waves. To fully understand energy, thus understanding the make up of the entire cosmos, the scientist needed to solve the question of whether or not energy was particles or waves. The debate raged on for years until 1927 when some quantum physicists and theorists joined together for an experiment which came to be known as the Copenhagen Interpretation.
The conclusions drawn from the Copenhagen Interpretation were astonishing. The first observation the scientists made was that energy some time appeared as waves and some time appeared as particles, but could not be both at the same time. The best part is that it was determined that energy begins as waves and once attention is placed on it, it becomes particles (mass). However, the scientists discovered that based on the belief system of the scientist observing the energy, it appeared in the form they were expecting. In other words, if the scientist observed the energy with a belief that it was waves, it appeared as waves. If he believed it was particles, it appeared as particles. This led the scientist to conclude that subatomic particles act and respond to the thoughts and beliefs of the scientists studying the matter at that given moment.
The Copenhagen Interpretation is the basis for the teaching of the law of attraction. Just as the scientists thoughts and beliefs created the existence of particles or not within the energy matter they were observing, so we all have the ability to create particular particles. Those particles then attract additional particles that harmonize with their vibrational match and eventual become the “stuff” we are thinking about.
During the same time these discoveries were being made about atoms and energy…another phenomenon emerged which Einstein called “spooky action at a distance.” They discovered a concept known as Quantum Entanglement which describes what happens when you cut a particle in half. Whatever stimuli one have of the particle is exposed to, the other half responds in the same way, simultaneously, no matter how far apart you place the two halves. Entanglement theory is being studied to explain how identical twins seem to know things about their sibling, even at great distances apart. A famous experiment was conducted by the US Army where DNA was extracted from a subject’s mouth and transported to another city. Scientist manipulated the subjects emotions through various visual and auditory means and recorded his response. They discovered that the extracted DNA responded in the exact manner, at the exact time. It appears that energy communicates with like energy without regard to time or space.
