The role of a grandmother and mother in law
Family is so important to me. I think I was a good mother to my three boys and because of that we enjoy a wonderful relationship today – adult to adult. But now I am a grandmother and I have to figure out what that means. I never had a mother role model, so I had to wing that one. Overcoming fear….again
Just when you think you’ve got it licked, it comes back to kick you in the butt. I’m talking about fear, insecurities, worry and doubt. No matter how many times I tell others or I hear people say it, getting over your emotions really is a simple choice. But I swear, it’s the hardest easy thing to do! When fear sneaks in the back door and catches you off guard, it feels like it hog ties you in a knot that you cannot escape from. Television – dumbing us down
There are several sources of negativity that can cause us to give up on our dreams. I would bet that one of the biggest dream stealers in America is the television. Not only does it provide a constant feed of toxic negativity, it also fosters laziness. We simply do not have time to devote to pursuing our dreams because it’s too hard to get off the Lazyboy and work at it. What’s even worse, television programs are full of propaganda that changes the way a Nation thinks about the moral and political foundations that made it great. America has played a major role in bringing down socialism in Communist countries and here we are on the brink of embracing the very platform we spent decades fighting.
